Maria Orduz is a Colombian born designer with a passion for innovation and technology.
A Fashion grad of George Brown College in Toronto, Maria has over six years of professional experience in the industry. She has worked in apparel design for major Canadian retailers including Mark’s Work Wearhouse, as well as on several wearable art and wearable technology initiatives. Her work has been highlighted in publications such as Elle Canada online, Avenue Magazine, Metro News, and several Canadian fashion and lifestyle blogs.
Maria is happiest when involved in unconventional projects that push her creative boundaries where play and instinct are key. She is inspired by music, the perfection of nature, and edgy architecture. When she’s not working on a creative endeavor, Maria can be found practicing yoga, dancing in her living room, or spending quality time with friends and family.
Hoping to further immerse herself into the wearable technology and maker communities, she is currently working as a senior designer with the world-leading wearable technology organization, MakeFashion where she continues exploring the endless possibilities technology can offer the fashion, apparel and manufacturing industries.
